Lifelong artist Nancy Klotz has begun an adventure in New York City. Her company is called "nk jewel art" (www.nkjewelart.com), where she is creating and fabricating one-of-a-kind fine jewelry. You may have seen it at the reunion. She displayed several pieces in the Kirkland Alumni Art Exhibition. They are quite beautiful, as you will see on her website.
On Nancy's website, I especially enjoyed reading about the path that has led her here. From painting to ceramics...to jewelry. Back to jewelry, actually. She tells us that she loved creating jewelry in high school and college (which she sold for spending money). Most of all, I appreciated her comment about the time she spends at work. "At the jeweler's bench is where I think, breathe, create, work and just enjoy life." Feeling this way about work is a magical experience. I admire her for continuing her professional and creative search long enough to reach this point.
