Now in her fourth year retired from teaching, WendyEllen Schacknow Cochran K'75 is hardly retired. She mentors new teachers (10 this year) and serves as a birth doula (“I just did my 53rd birth!”). She regularly visits her 92-year-old mom in Florida and spends a lot of time with her kids. Her daughter just completed her BS RN and is an ER nurse in San Diego. Meanwhile, WendyEllen’s son is building a locksmith business with a partner in San Francisco, and he lives nearby with his wife.
